I am an expression of the universe, just like everything else around me and inside me.

Your body is born, and then your brain as it grows gives rise to a full consciousness. Your level of consciousness is proportional to your brain’s development, and as we grow up we become more aware of our world and our self. Our consciousness is as its highest state when our prefrontal cortex is fully developed, this part of the brain is what basically separates us from the other animals, although animals may be conscious but to a smaller degree. As we developed this prefrontal cortex, we were more able to control our emotions and reason, but these abilities require constant use, just like a muscle.

As the physical body ages (including the brain), our consciousness seems to fade little by little up until the brain can no longer give rise to our consciousness. This process leads us to were we came from initially, to the so called nothingness or void. Keep in mind that consciousness doesn’t have to cease with the body, it can be lost before the body dies, this happens to those with Alzheimer’s disease or those in a permanent vegetative state. It’s amazing to realize that we lose consciousness every day temporarily when we get to a deep sleep, in this state we can’t experience anything, this is why we can’t remember about it and call it nothingness.

Not getting what you want is good for you because it means you’ll have to fight for it. Getting it easy always ends in not appreciating what you got and then wanting for some other thing you don’t have. Because we are always moving toward the things that are lacking in us, we live in constant becoming.

"It really dosen’t matter what you label yourself with, it’s what you do what matters most. Identifications and beliefs are really illusions that we create for different purposes or rewards, but we are none of that, those are just things the universe has conditioned us to be or believe."

"The mind is a feeling, seeking and problem solving machine in one small space, and it is the only place we’ll be."

"My life is clearly problem after problem, there is something always to worry about. I must accept this as my permanent reality, and handle every situation with patience, diligence and mindfulness."

"Feel your senses, be aware of yourself, your thoughts and habits. For self-control you need self-awareness. If there is no awareness, the mind takes over disolving you into dreams and desires."

"All our desires come from the same roots, the memories of pleasure. All our fears come from the same roots also, the memories of pain. Our memory is what causes us to keep living, keep moving and extending the dream. Our imagination in the other hand, works with memory to give us a perspective of the future which sometimes gives us anxiety, but it is all an illusion, it is not what it seems. By living in the moment you can separate yourself from memory and imagination, truly living in reality, until your mind absorbs you back into the dream."

"Emotions and thoughts come and go like the wind, just like everything else in this life."

"By analysing what someone says about me, I learn more of the opinionated speaker than of myself."

"To manipulate a mind, the only element you need is fear. Human minds are highly sensitive to fear, because our basic instincts tend toward self-preservation. Liberate from the fear of others and any other fear in yourself, for the purpose of your own well-being."
"People are not separate from what we really are, they are other versions of ourselves, because we do not see them or think about them as they are, but as we are. If we are aware of our thoughts about them, they can lead us eventually to an understanding of ourselves."
